On the third (and last summer day in this part of Europe) we visited a charming French city very near to the Belgian border, Lille.

We visited the city on Sunday and it was really relaxed with people lounging in the parks.




Although the city is situated in Flanders, the architecture is very similar to that of Paris.

I thought this was a small town, but it turned out I was wrong because it is actually a large city - the fourth largest metropolitan area in France. After visiting the northernmost part of France, next week we will be visiting the southernmost part! Holiday coming soon!!!!
